Hello, Mrs. Hall....this is Ashley from 273 your homeroom. I agree with this quote because.... Good literature like an article or a good book stretches your mind which holds your intelligence and imagination. Unlike bad literature that just feeds your curiosity and does nothing to increase your intelligance.

Hello Mrs.T.Hall. This is your homeroom student, Jevaughn Grey. This quote reminds me of how a good book to someone can strech there imagination and how a bad book to someone can do nothing. Reading is like food for your head. Or reading can be TV in your head.

HayHay this is Ragayla from 281 and i definetly agree with this quote because without reading it would not broaden our vocabulary. When you read a great book it makes you more intelligent and make you use your imagination to think about what is the problem and the little details make you think even more. I can relate this book to the author study we are doing because when i read walter dean myers' stories it made me think about his writing as a way to persuade me to read more and let me use my imagination to think of the characters reactions to such things and what they are doing
in the story.

Hi it's Jayvone Marty hi! I agree what this quotes means because Good literature does come in our intelligence. Well from my point of view it means that, Good literature is like an newpaper article or a book that an authour wrote that come in our mind and holds our intelligence and imagination.

hey Mrs. Hall this is Alexis from class 281 and i think this quote means to find a good book to read and gain some knowledge.

Cassy said...

This is Cassandra and i think this quote means when you are writing something or there's just a writing, it shows off your intelligence like, using big words or using smart or good information in your writing. And writing should be able to show your imagination like what you think or feel Because literature is not something you use just cause you have to or something.

Anonymous said...

I THINK THIS QUOTE MEANS THAT IF YOU SEE A WRITING .YOU THINK IT IS INTELLIGENT AND YOU CAN IMAGINE IT IN YOUR MIND BUT IT IS NOT THAT INTERESTING.

Carlnow said...

Carl .W. Powell J.R of 281 (yes I think much of myself)

This quote is trying to say literature/English goes with how smart you are and imagination because in order to write or deal with anything in that category you need experience which is your intelligence/prior knowledge and your imagination to write because you cant always write based on fact but your imagination like pigs flying over the Atlantic Ocean.
Also i agree with it because it is all true (explained it at top)

Hi my name is junior.I think that the quote: ("Good literature appeals to our intelligence and imagination, not merely to our curiosity")means that what ever kind of literature you do thats whats going to be increasing. Forexample if somebody is doing something good such as helping people or caring about one another that will appeal to your intelligence and your imagination that would set an good example for yourself.Lets say somebody is killing people, robbing stores and doing all kind of bad things thats a bad literature so thats increasing the curiosity of that person thats not helping that person intelligance or imagination.I strongly agree with the quote. Also i agree with the statement that was made by Ashley from Mrs.hall homeroom in class:273.

I think this means that a good book should engage us with more than just curiosity, but tests our imagination and our intellect.Curiosity is apart of choosing a good book but shouldn't be all of it. I also agree with what DeBajanQueena20008 said because i agree with everything she said.I think this relates to our author study in class because most people didn't choose their book based on intellect but imagination and curiosity.

Hi I'm Shamarie from 281. I think this means that good literatures click to your imagination and intelligence and that they don't leave you in a state of ignorance and curiosity. They let you think out of the box.

i agree with tajmah. u have to choose a book that can help u to learn somethin', curiosity may help u to choose a book, but it dosen't mean all. sometimes u r not interest in some books but it may be a gd book.

Hay ths iz shae from 273. I have to say that this quote merely means that our intelligance and imagination over rules our suspicion and curosity for things that may happen in the world. That our literature as in readings and wishes and favors persay will persue your mind and increase your stamina that holds your imagination and intelligence together your thoughts and fellings do not matter in some situations mostly because some people do not want to hear your opinion but facts are what they are interested in

SassyVinci101 said...

i have to agree with ashley anderson mostly because i understand wat she is saying. she is saying that inteligence and imagination put together will stretch the knowledge in your mind to a higher level it connects with my comment so to speak

hi mrs hall this is bianca and i think this quote means that literature shows what he learn by reading but by not curiosity for example: if everyone reads a book in class and you mrs hall tell us to write a reading log on it. we use what we know about the book and what we have learn to write a reading log on it. i agree with cassy beacuse when she says it shows off your intelligence like, using big words or using smart or good information in your writing it shows how you react to the text and how you use your imagination for it.

The quote is right because good literature connects with your imagination and intelligence and you dont get left with questions when u read it.-->Dorcas

Robenson here from class 281- This means we do not choose a good book mainly because of our curiosity of the cover, the back or pictures but what we know about the book. our imagination also attracts us to a book as it takes you to a place where you can see the book

Hi, I'm Chereen from class 281, and I think this qoute means that to understand good literature, you should not only read to get to know what the author is saying, but you should broaden your intellect picturise to help you understand. I agree with Ashley from clas 273, because books not only make you occupied with something, but it can help lengthen your intelligence.

Wat up Ms. Hall I am Shawn from class 281 and I agree with this quote. I think that reading good literature expands our imagination ang intelligence. Good literature makes us want to think and use our intelligence to understanding what we are reading and at the same time using our imagination to draw pictures to help us better understand the reading. Unlike bad literature which doesn't increase your intelligence. I can agree with Ashley from class 273.

this is the one an only ASHLEY ALLEN of 281 and i think this quote means that whenever u read a good book or a very interesting piece if work it makes u think so it can challenge u. it enhances ur knowledge, but bad literature just makes u more curious of the meaning. i can relate it 2 a walter dean myers story because his work has a deep meaning that u really have 2 think about.
