When you get know a person and they try to hard to be appealing or perfect they're only seem and act fake, prosthetic. When they're turned inside out you truly see the person for who they are. Flaws bring out the better or worst of you, releasing true and real characteristic than those one leads another to believe. It's better for both sides. So one doesn't get hurt and the other can learn better of their selves.

when you get to know a person and they try to only seem so perfect.when you turn them around you see who that person really is about.

I think this quote means that people with problems and things that are bothering them only makes them more visible in terms of seeing what they are really about. I also think it means that if people are their own type of person, let them be that person because it is what they are.

I think this means that when a person has/makes alot of mistakes you can really see how they are. i think this beacause when some one does some thing wrong to someone the way they correct them selves/fix the problem can determin how they are. i disagree with cassandrea because i feel that she is not explanig the write thing

Hey my name is Junior Elinor from class 281. I think the quote "I like flawed characters because somewhere in them I see more of the truth" its trying to say a character that isnt perfect knows how to keep it real and is most likely honest. On the other hand someone that is perfect and isnt flawed you wont find the real side of them and the truth from them you'll most likely find it from the imperfection and flawed characters. This is what i think the quote is trying to say.

I think the quote "i like flawed characters because somewhrer in them i see more
of the turth" means someone who has imperfections and know they do are people you will most likely be able to trust. the people with flaws that dont try to be perfect will be more truthful. i also think it means people who try to hide there imperfections n flaws are fake n you wont really get the truth out of them. i agree with junior's statement because we bout have the same mindset on what this quote means.

" I like flawed characters because somewhere in them I see more of the truth " . I think this quote means that imperfect people will try and make everything looks fine but you can see that everything is not fine but they are trying hard to fix their problems and make everything right .

I think that the quote means that, everyone is suppose to have flwas, that makes unperfect human an unperfewct human. So because no one is perfect, the people that go around and pretend as if they have no flaws, their really being fake. On the other hand, one that actually shows that him or her have flaws, that person is showing that he knows he made a mistake but learned from it.

I believe this quote refers directly to the "Mary Sue" and "Gary Sue" archtypes that appear in life, flawless characters who you can never be. Those characters are never likable and will only rebuff you, that's why characters need their flaws in order for a reader, instead of being above you, is a person who could have been your friend, your neighbor, maybe even yourself.

I think this quote means that there is more truth in something or someone messed up than, Someone that acts like they are perfect. No one is perfect. Everyone has made mistakes. This relates to the author study because we can make a connection based on the quote. I also agree with steven.

Well, when there are characters that have imperfections, we can identify with them more. There are NO perfect people, and making imperfect characters makes a story more realistic. I haven't read either play, but I can safely (I hope) assume that by showing that the characters were imperfect, Shakespeare "realized" his plays.

I think this qoutoe mean when you get to kno sum one. All the material things that they may have may not mean any thing at the end if they are not a good person in side nanyamka mead 282

I think that this quote means that if you have no flaws, you are not human. It's kind of like saying"Nobody's Perfect" because nobody is. If a person has flaws then that means that he or she is a real person and accepts that. When you say that you are perfect, that is a lie, but if you have flaws that is more of truth. A true person has to have flaws.

Basically in my personal opinion, I agree with this quote, the flawed characters, you can see there flaws and struggles. You can also relate to these characters in some way, for example a character with an obsession, you can understand and a certain level of sympathy and compassion for him or her! Where is opposed to characters who seem to be acting perfect, has a small to vital flaw that they are hiding or concealing in plain sight. Flawed characters also are the main part to any story, in addition to either having troublesome encounters/experiences or being down to earth. That is what I think of this phrase overall!

I beleiv that this quote means that he likes a person who acts like themself.Sometimes people try to act perfect to impress someone but they are not perfect. They think
that pretending to live a lie is the best thing to do.They act a certain way which is not who they
realy are.Just like the story
"Monkeyman" in the book 145th street. The boy named Clean tried
to act tough so he could get into a
gang and kept saying that he was going to beat up the kid that messed with the gang so he could join. Then when it came time for him to beat up the kid he ran away
and the gang he wanted to join was
watching. So then it turned out he
was not so tough.Basically people
who do not try to act perfect and
show their flaws more truthful to
themselves and others instead of those who try to act perfect and try not to show any flaw.I agree with this quote and I also do not understand Alex example.

this means that people with problems are normal. There are no people who have no problems. On t.v., i saw a quote that said ' no one is perfect", which relates to Walter dean Myer's literature. This is because in WDM's stories, the character is usually poor or a slave. I agree with steven.

i belive this quote means the people who are not afraid to show their flaws are the most honest. While people who try to hide their flaws are the least honest.
