“Obstacles are things a person sees when he takes his eyes off his goal.” - E. Joseph Cossman

What does this quote mean? Put it in your own words then give an example of how this can happen.

I think this quote means that the roadblooks that you are going to take you forget the obstacles and you forget your own goal.An example would be that you want to accomplish your goal but months later obstacles comes to your mind a you don't have an idea of how you going to achieve your goal.

I think this quote means that once you take your mind off of your goal and someting distracts you to make you stop concentrating, then you would start to find obstacles and that will cause you to procrastinate more often until the goal is never completed.

I think this poem means that you set goals to excel. But then you begin lacking and forgeting your goals so then roadblocks begin popping up and you cant do as well in life, so taking your eyes off you your goals will bringing you problems.

EXAMPLE:Doing so well in school then you become friends with the wrong person and they are a bad infuence on you so then you begin cutting class not doing your homework and just begin falling short in everything that is because you took your eyes off your goals and you began having roadblocks.

I think this quote means that when someone has a goal and they do not stay with the goal they would not accomplish. Also when you forget your goal it will be hard for u to get it back.

What this quote means is that a person onle sees opsticals when they are not focusing on their main purpose. They see them because they are not focusing on their goal.

example: "I am going home to go do my homework."Oh hey whats up want to come over my house sure the friend said and went off to play but forgot about his homework.

In my own words i think this quote means that when you take your eye off your goalthose are obsacles.

If you were absent from school and you call your friend for the homewok and start talking some big thing that happened in school that day that would be an example of you taking your eye off your goal which now whatever you aredoing becomes an obstacle.

I think the quote means you will get sidetracked or distracted once you lead off of the path to accomplishing your goal.

Example:Someone is going to do their homework but they get sidetracked and they forget to do it.

I think that this means that obstacles are things that happen when people will get dastracted by other things that will not help them reach their destiney.
An example is if someone has a destiney of getting a career in the medical field but has a child and they use that as an destraction by saying things like i cant study for medical school because i have a child.

I think this quote mean when you set a goal but is not completing it the right way you will have to face obstacles that make it longer and harder to complete the goal

I think this quote means that, if you face a challenge, you shouldn’t make it prevent you from moving on towards your goal and don’t give up although the obstacles may be hard to face or overcome. Just keep thinking positive of your goal and work to accomplish it. This can happen to you anytime such as in school, you set a goal to pass your grade and you may not be doing your homework, passing test and participating and that keeps you away from getting good grades on your report card and you may fail. This brings you far away from completing your goal then you face your problems by trying to do the things your suppose to in class for example pay attention, take notes, and study when the time comes.

For me, this goal means: ''Roadblocks gets built when the person gets desperate and cannot go on. He turn around when he was near and cannot go back.'' This can happen when a student want to achieve a goal and cannot continue because he or her is being distracted.

i think that this quote is saying that if you focus and keep your eyes on the goal, there wont be any obstacles to slow you down.

i think that this quote means that when you set a goal there is nothing going wrong when you keep your mind to it but when you think to your self and say hmm maybe i could take a day off and not do this or that it won't affect my goal that's when things don't go your way and your road to your goal would be so bumpy it will have so many obsticals that's gonna take you to finish that your goal is gonna take a long time to accomplish

example: i'm not gonna do my homework for 1 day . consequence: i get an f and my homework avrage becomes a 75% and i don't get 100$ any more because i was sapposed to maintain a 90% avrage.

This quote means that when you try or think to hard it takes longer to achive that, but when you are calm and try your best at the end of the day you are closer to achiving your goal. That is a step closer for the shining spot then the dark spot. Also when you are calm and also achiving you goal you fell better than you being stressed out and you achived your goal. You dont fell as good if you were calm. For example when you are looking for something and you are in a rush you are nervous and hurring but if you slow down you will find it and be sastisfide. That is what i think this quote means.

I think this quote means don't lose sight of your goal because if you don't focus on your main goal you will stop pursuing it at some point and find flaws in your plan.

In my own words: When you stop focusing on your main goal you make an excuse that something was stopping you from reaching it.

An example of this is someone who gets distracted a lot with a lazy attitude.

I think this quote means that when a person has a goal, they take their attention off that goal that they want to achieve. They see obstacles or roadblocks that catch their attention.

An example of this quote would be a young teenager paying more attention to going to a rock concert than paying more attention to her dream of going into a specialized high school.

Well, say that you want to accomplish a goal and to get there you would have to go through obstacles, or challenges and that is what people discard or does not want to do. But in order to reach the goal you ALWAYS have to do something challenging to reach it. Let’s say, for example if you would want to pass you test tomorrow, and to pass it, you would have to study so you can memorize what you have to know so you can pass that. I rest my case and I recommend that everyone should keep that eye on those obstacles!

I think that the quote is saying when you have a goal but you loose focus on the goal you start to face obsticles. For example if i have a goal to get a 90 on my ela report card grade and i start to loose focus. I then start seeing obstacles like missing homeworks which will affect my goal.

I think that this person is trying to say that you have obstacles in your life when you don't focus enough on your big goal. An example is that if a per wants to be famous but they don't do good in school so then they have an obstacle in their way.
