I think that this quote is saying a person has not sarted living until they can rise above thir narrow limmited indivudal concers to the bigger concerns of all humans. This means that if a person cannot get over themselves then they will never be able to see other concernss in other people. That is why they would not be able to start living. this quote is mostly telling me think about other people instead of only always thinking about yourself because that is when you basically start living.

I think this quote means that a person has not started living until they are capable of increasing above the thin boundaries of there distinctive concerns towards the widespread concerns of all sympathy. This means that if a person can't get above themselves they will never be able to view the concerns of other people. So this quote is basically saying that you need to think about other people other then yourself, so that you can begin to live.

I think that this quote means that a person hasnt started their life until they can rise above the narrow confines of their selfishness concerns to the extensive concerns of all humanity. What this is saying is that a person can not start their life until they can get out of the state where they are self-centered and self-absorbed and they start to see the concerns of the other people that live around them. This quote is tellin me that i have see the concerns of the people that surround me and not be a individualistic person.

You have not lived 'til you've rose up to concerning other people's individuality instead of yours. I think it means that you havn't lived good enough if you havn't ever cared about someone else's well being

Dr.Martin Luther King is trying to say to be your own person you need to be able to ignore the problems in life and realize that we are all human,no matter what the color of your skin is.
We also need to realize that God did not create the races,He created one race. The Human Race.

I think that this quote means that a person starts living untill they stand up for what is right and what they believe in. I also think that just because someone tells you something else you can still have a debate about the topic and fight for your rights. Kemari best 271

"You can't be a human being if you don't get up and say you know what if I want to face life I have to go and say i am going to do this and whatever the thing that's going to arrive and hit me I am going to wait for it and face it". I think pretty much this quote means that if you want face your fear you have to learn how to take all the scary things with courage or else if you will get away from all scary things in your life you are never going to accomplish anything

“An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.” Well, in my own words, this quote is trying to tell you that all sayings are open to interpretation but one such interpretation is that a person cannot truly live – or live satisfactorily by simply taking into account his/her own worries and concerns. Only when an individual thinks of the values and issues of others and all of society do they appreciate life, so therefore start living as a good person and becoming an advantage to humanity.
